ABOUT US

Come get to know a little about the couple and what they have in mind.

Ricardo

You are the person I chose to share the rest of my life with—not because you are perfect, but because with you, everything makes sense. After more than ten years sharing laughter, comfortable silences, and the silly everyday arguments, you are the person who makes me feel most like myself.

It’s not just love that brought us here; it’s complicity, patience, partnership, and that warm certainty that, no matter what comes, I want to live it all by your side.

Now, marrying you is simply making official what my heart has known for a long time: you are my home, my best friend, and the best choice I’ve ever made in life.

Jennifer

When true love appears, we are certain it’s the one. Love is like the sea—but the calm sea at dawn, bringing with it peace and a sense of safety.

When I saw you for the first time, it was summer, and I fell in love the moment our eyes met. I am so grateful to God for marrying my best friend, my partner, my confidant—right here in the middle of the ocean, with God’s presence at the center and surrounded by the people we love.

I love you, my love. Cannoooot

Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

1 Corinthians 13:7

If you’d like to stay during the same period as Jenny and Ricardo, please feel free to do so.

Maafushi Island

For hotel reservations, please use apps such as Agoda or Booking, or book directly through the hotel’s website.

CURRENCY: US DOLLAR OR MALDIVIAN RUFIYAA

We recommend exchanging at least ¥20,000 at the airport so you arrive in the Maldives with some local currency.

It’s important to note that in the Maldives, tourist activities usually accept payment in US dollars and credit cards.

However, small shops and local establishments typically accept only Maldivian Rufiyaa. For this reason, we suggest keeping some exchanged cash with you for any eventual needs.

the gift

Your presence is the greatest gift.
However, if you wish to give the couple a present, please use the envelope to offer a monetary gift.

IN CASE OF RAIN

If it rains on February 6, the wedding will be held the following day.

If bad weather persists, the ceremony will be rescheduled for a date that is comfortable for the couple.

When planning your trip, we kindly ask that you take this possibility into account regarding weather conditions and a potential rescheduling of the ceremony.

CREDIT CARD

We recommend using the Wise app.

Wise is a digital bank with a debit card that works worldwide. We used it in the Maldives and had no issues at all. Even so, we recommend bringing at least ¥20,000 exchanged into Maldivian Rufiyaa in cash.

Tip: To avoid spending more than planned, deposit only an amount you feel comfortable bringing:

  • Single traveler: approximately ¥140,000

  • Couple: approximately ¥200,000

You can track all expenses directly through the app, helping you stay in control of your budget and enjoy the trip accordingly.

Please note that total expenses may vary depending on the number of tours and activities you choose.

Some tours start at 9:00 AM and return around 3:00 PM. In these cases, a simple lunch may be included, usually with rice, chicken, apple, juice, and water.
